The zero of the table corresponds with of the sounding in the Admiralty Chart, which has been found to be 4 feet. 3 inches below mean sea level.
To obtain the depth of water on the tide gauge at the Victoria Naval Yard add 3 fort 4 inches, and on the gange at Lamont Dock, Aberdeen, add 10 feet inches to the height given in the table.
