The tide table given below has been compiled at the National Almanac Office in London from the result of the analysia of observations taken by means of an automatic tide-recording machine in the Water Police Basin at, Tsim Sha Tsui during the years-1367-8-9.

The zero of the table corresponds with the zero of the sounding in the Admiralty Chart, which has been found to be foot 3 inches below mean sea level
To obtain the depth of water on the Ede gange at the Victoria Naval Yard add a feet 4 inches, and on the gauge at Lamont Docks, Aberdeen, add 10 feet 4 inches to the height given in the table.
