The tide-table given below has been compiled at the National Almanac Office in London from the result of the analysis of observations taken by means of an satomatic tide-recording machine in the Water Polica Basin at Tsim Sha Tsui

zero of the table corresponds with the rore of the sounding in the Admiralty Chart, which has been found to be 4 foot a inches below mean sea level.
To obtain the depth of water on the tile gauge at the Victoria Naval Yard add 3 feet 4 inches, and on the gauge at Lamont Dock, Aberdeen, add 10 foot mches to the height given in the table.
