HONGKONG TIDES.
The tide table given below has been cpiled at the National Almanac Office in London from the result of the analysis of observations taken by means of an automatic tide-recording machine in the Water Police Baain at Tsim Sha Tsui during the years 1887-8-9.
The caro of the table corresponds with the zero of the sounding in the Admiralty Chart, which has been found to be 3 inches below mean sea level.
To obtain the depth of water on the bide gange at the Victoria Naval Yard add feet 4 inches, and on the gauge
on the
at Lamont Dock, Aberdeen, add 10 feat 4'inchou to the height given in the table.
