HONGKONG TIDES.

The tide table given below has been compiled at the National Almanse Office in London from the result of the analysis. of observations taken by means of an automatic tide-recording machine in the Water Folice Bann at Tsim Sha Tsui during the years 1887-8-9.

The zero of the table corresponds with the sero of the sounding in the Admiralty Chart, which has been found to be 4 feet 2 inches below mean sea level.

To obtain the depth of water on-the side gauge at the Victoria Naval Yard add a feet 4 inches, and on the gauge at Lamont Dock, Aberdeen, add 10 feet. fiches to the height given in the table.
