HONGKONG TIDES.
The tide table given below has been pompiled at the National Almanac Office In London from the result of the analysis of observations taken by means of an automatic tide-recording machine in the Water Police Basin at Tsim Sha Tsui during the yeara 1837-8-9.
The zero of the table corresponds with the zero of the sounding in the Admiralty Chart, which has been found to be feet 2 inches below mean sea leval
To obtain the depth of water on the tido gauge at the Victoria Naval Yard add a feet 4 inches, and on the gange at Lamont Dock, Aberdeen, add 10 feet 3 inches to the height given in the table
