FEROCIOUS FIGHTING IN GALICIA.
ATTACKS AND COUNTER-ATTACKS.

Later, the attack was renewed in conjunction with broad flanking inavements, north and south of Baely and Kamen but again they failed.
During the night the enemy reinforced desperately, and by eleven in the evening delivered five separate assaults which were all repulsed with heavy losses. Undeterred by these checks, the enemy made three further attacks before five in the morning but they were always repulsed with enormous losses.

Simultaneously, a flanking movement south of Buely and Kamen was also repulsed. In force, the enemy advancing from the upper stretches of the Zlotalipa, south of Zloczow, attempted to force the passage of the Styrpa and were almost uniformly repulsed.
On the following day the Russians assumed the aggressive ton miles. further south pear Burkaroff. The enemy made nine attacks between nightfall on Sunday and ten on Monday morning but their two efforts to cross the Strypa were unsuccessful.
