Mr. Asquith will move in the House of Commons on Monday s Supplementery Credit for all purposes of £37,000,000 for the year ending the 31st March, making an expediture for the year of £862,000,000. The Prime Minister will also move a fresh Credit of "2280,000,000 for the coraing year.

THE FIGHTING ON THE BASTERN FRONT.

LONDON, Feb. 26. 2.50 a.m. Our vanguards between Kovno and Olymo, on the left bank of the Niemien, advanced far beyond the river, The Germans occupy the left bank in the region of Srentoiansk and Goja. The Germans on the right bank of the Narew are concentra- ting their efforta in the directions of Novo Uredska and Prasnysz, Numerona German attacks were repulsed with heavy loss. The Germans defended a farm near Krasnogeltz with extraordinary tenacity. We captured the fun, and 150 survivora surtendered.

On the left bank of the Vistala a German offensive near a farm at Moghely was shattered by our fire. Our infantry dashort in impetuously with the bayonet upon the retreating Germans, and after a hand-to-hand fight captured two lines of trenchies and took 408 prisoners.
