H: A. Nisbet played very endily but his drives were not as effective as they might have been. Mrs. Gedge was 121 excellent partner. Hancock and Mr. Benris now meet in the hrad Hutaphŕoys and Mrs. Armstrong who vanquished Stewart and Mrs. Maitland.
In the dubles handicap Murphy and Sandford.secured a win of three straight. acts over deeland and Penan with the following scores 6-2, 6-2, 6- %. Thờ winners received 58 and the lower wel 30. The opening pair wers Gunner Grover, R.G.A., and Warder Field of the com- bined team, There was nothing to choose: between the players for a while; a 24 break gavo Grover 'a lead but this was nullied by Field, whose successive visita
