of the 29th ult.. Tiontsla beat Shanghai by two goals, one penalty goal, and two trios (19 poist) tu nil.

Leslie scored two trips and Shaw and Ond one try each, while the penalty goal was kicked by Captain Chapman. The match was played in splendid weather and there was a huge attendavon. The Tientsin team was composed of nice military men and six civilians,

Shanghai were outclassed and had the misfortune to loso Harris who retired_with s broken nose in the second half. There WLS & good opening to the game, but in was not fast afterwards, for Tientsin pressed throughout The grand was fearfully dusty, and this considerably, handicapped the visitors.
