Surgeon's Operations in the Primeval Forest.
A thrilling story of adventure is told by Dr. Hamilton Rice, the American surgeon and traveller, who has jut Aived in Londoz after a journey of twenty-one manths' exploration in South- Fast Colombia and North-West Brazil, in the course of which ho has traversed about a hundred thousand square miles of almost unknown territory.
In conversation with Router's repro- sentative Dr. Hamilton Rico said that the objects of his expedition werento ex- plora and map the greatest unknown area in the world, and also to pursue medical and anthropological studies. In apite of enormous diculties and bard- ships, his journey had been succonaful. He had collected valuable scientific data, and had cleared up the geography of the Amazon and Orinoco sysBOMIS.
