About 740,000 bales of Indian cotton and the ghater portion of American have been sold to spinning, companies, and--åbout | 60,000 bales of Indian and a quantity of American cution are still held by mer- chants. Affected by the Balkan situation and the unsettle political situation, in China, the market price of Indian cotton rapidly dropped and in a month the helders of Indian cotton have lost about 12 por bale. Drafts oa Indian cotton are falling due this month, and cotton merchants of the second and lower ranks in Osaka aro in a very tight corner.
