THE MARINE COURT.
The following cases heard at the Marine Court to-day by Coromander Basil Taylor,
R.N.
The master of the steam launch "Kwong To" was charged by P. C. McMilan, 47, with carrying sixty persons in excess of the number allowed by licens. The constable said that on December 4th he found 140 persons on the launch, not including children. In the engine room there was 6 in. of water over the stokehold p'atas A line of 8250 or 6 months' was imposed.
For anchering a junk in the fairway of the harbour a junk owner was fined 36 at the instance of Mr A. E Darey, Officer.
Mr S. M. Mager's yacht boy was fined for failing to exhibit a light on the Jacht "Bat.".
A similar fine was imposed upon yacht Loys for not exhibiting a Egat on the *White Rose" and "Lify," also belong- ing to Mr Mayer,
MY E. A. Beaumont's gicht beg was :fined $3 for not showing a light on the Jacht "Lysboth".
For anchoring a boat to the weet of the Pri sarpine Rocks, a boitman was fined $5. "A fine of 87.60 was imposed upon a junk monster for anchoring about to the harbour between. D. p.m. and á m. on the 8th December without a perais, and sles to. fusing to stop when requested by P. C. Joy; 13 The alternative to the Ene was three weeks' hard labour.
