The Navy Department at Washington has drawn up plans for a chain of wirelin stations which will bring the department into aerial communication with altits ships wherever they may be, from the costs of West Africs to Chinese watam. Congres will be asked to appropriate 81,000,GOD to establish this system, which will superior to any of the kind now in erist

The chain-as-planned will consist of seven stations. One already is under con- struction at Arlington, Va., across the Potomac from Washington. The others
