LOSS OF THE LXION.
Two telegrams from Bencoolen, dated 3rd inst., to the Batavia Nieusesólad, state that fire broke out that day on board the Ixion, bost belonging to the Ocean Steamship Company. The ship is, a total less. The Izion left Batavia on September 30, and, the fire occurred when the ship wan to the north of the island of Engano. The crow laft the ship in two loops which owing to the darkness at the time collided with one another with the result that one of them containing 7 Europeans and 17 Chinos got into difficulties, and up to last advices had not turned up (at Benevolen).
