"BLUE ROSE CULTURE.
Rose-growers throughout the country will be interested to know, says the Times, that Mr Alfred Smith's production of a blus rose proves in every way aucrsaaful, this being the third season in succession in which the blooms have remained true in colon and in every other detail. Mr Smith, who is.-Fellow of the Royal Horticultural Society, and a well-known rose and caras- tion specialist and exhibitor, has nursery gardens near the Hughesden Manor estata at Downley, High Wycombe, Bunk. The name of the blue rose is "Lady Corentry," and Mr Smith has sent trees to various "parts of the world including India.
