Business in local stocks has been done on a fairly moderato scale during the interval, and Tronoh Tin Mines have had further substantial advance, the middle price from London being now 87/8. This Company, we learn by wire from our London agents, has declared a second interim dividend and bonus combined of 5/- per share, making 7 per share or 35 per cent, so far for account of 1911. “Rubbers" have been practicilly noglected during the interval, the closing quotations being again lower and the market closing weak. Fine Hard Pars is quoted to-day by wire from Lension at 4,2. sellern. The Bank of England rate of discount remains at 3 per cunt. But the open market rate has advanced to 'percont. Bar Silver closes as ji stindy, and Sterling TT, at 1/0 Shanghai T. T. cleves at 7I.
Banks-Hongkong and Shaughniss following a decline of 10 in the London rate to £88/10, have eased off locally, and are now procurable at $85. No business has been reported during the interval. Nationals (in liquidation) aru still enquired for at 950,
