The Chahuan said :-Gentlemen,The balancesheet for lasthalf year aml your diree- :tors' report have been before you for the past two weeks and as is ual, with poo permission, I will take them as run. you will meet with your apprával.
From it you will see that we have added"] $12,490 to Capital Account. This sum is made up principally by thy cost of a new service launch and of the electrification of
some of our machines..
The extension of No. 1 Dock is now practically Enished and we have been for some timo pst profiting by the malditional length. On several ocasions we have had two vessels in that dock at the same time, which is of course of considerable advantage to us and to our constituents.
Docing the past six months the docks at Kowloon have been fortunate in securing a large slinre of work, in the way of docking and repairs, also in general engineer ing, boiler and foundry work. In the Constructional Department we have com- pleted several large contincts, amongst Chen being a new stand for the Juckey Chah, and ninteria for other local buildings. With regard to the now steamers, Latis Raful Tange and Bannag, hails at Kew. lein, their hulls, urin, and auxiliary machinery store entirely unfactured at --song. We find an increasing workut for our uxiliary, machinery for mine unit and Purps generally.
