THE AMOT LICE GUILD.
Oss of the most Bourishing private enter prisen in Aray is the "Amoy Lace Guild," now in charge of Miss Randall. Under her able management, as well as that of others: before her, it has been-world-wide in ite. scope, and orders for goods come from all parts of the world. Some rämours of a strike among the women workers seem to have got abroad, bus they are utterly falso, and are probably the outcome of incorrect information. As it happens the workers are making more lace then ever, and the month of Juge has been the bearist the Guild has ever had, as shown by the wage bill being the largest since the Guildwas started. The ace is of line texture and wrought into an immense variety of most beautiful patterns, and the fact of its "growing appreciation wherever it is known shows how excellent is the quality of the lace turned out. Na one who reads this | need hesitate to send for patterns as Miss Randall is always ready to reply to correa- pondence and to expate all orders as promptly as possible.
