Some time ago there was a very big fire at Ngan Yil Bridge in the Western Suburbs and a large number of shops and houses were destroyed. A large number of these are still in raigs but some low have been rebuilt. On the night of the 22nd another fire broke out in the same locality but the brigade was quickls on the scene and the binze “was put out before any considerable amount of damage had been done.
