He had alan that afternoon received a letter from the Chairman of the Chinese Sub. Committee informing him that £113 (31.250) had been recaired from the Chinese in Australia towards the Endow ment Fund. The scholarships claimed by donors of $10,000 and upwards are as follows;—

Mr Ho Tung, each one. The Canton Reorganization Bureau and the Canton Literary Chancellor, each four. The Canton Salt Commissioner and Cuo-
