A work gid in a silk factory at a pluco called Lan Shok has recently been the victim of a cruel assault. The foreman of the place had a spite against her and ou the day in question he caught the girl by the throat and then brutally kicked her several times. The unlucky girl tad only recently recovered from an illness and was in no condition to stand euch treatment (and she is now in a precarious condition. The girl is not yet married but is betrothed and, the affiniced husband hearing of the Assault went to the "factory owner to demand compensation.
