CONFUCIUS CELEBRATIONE AT

KONAM COLLEGE

Sunday, the 10th inst, was the birthday of Confucius and as a consequence all the

educational imaStations in Canton held high holiday. The schools, colleges, pub-

lishing houses and nowspaper shops were all

ingala attire sad many private houses were also beautifully decorated. The masters and students of Bonam Collego were wall to the fore in these matters. The Madonia

subscribed more than one hundred dollars towards the cast of, decomtion. The great half the College was cleared of furniture and on the platform was erected an akar
