The tide table given below hs been compiled at the Nautical Almanac Office In London from the result of the salyals of observations taken by means of an au- tomatic tide-recording machine in the Wa ter Police Basin at Tsim Sha Teul during the year 1887-8-9,
The core of the tabla sorresponds with the zero of the soundings in the Admiralty Okaste, which has been found to be 4 feet 3 inches below mean sea level."
To obtain the depth of water on the tide gange at the Victoria Naval Yard add-8 lout 4 inches, and on the gangs at Lamont Dock, Aberdown, add 10 feet 6 inches to the height giren in the table.
