CANTON, June 10. It is rumoured about the City that a noted revolutiorias named Chan King Wal, a native of Kwong chow, is at, present in Hongkong. There, it is stated, he is making preparations for an attack on Canton. While there is likely to be little truth in the latter ätatement it is certain that orders have been issued lately to the military.and..police authorities to be more watchful than ever over the public peace. It is likely, therefore, should there.
doubtable Chan come to Canton he will find a warmer reception than he may consider is good for him.
TELEGRA* TROUBLES. Lately the rfficer in charge of the Canton Government Telegraphs reported that the wire to the Kwong Fai Province was broken and in consequence he delajuď certain im- portant dispatches. Now the, director of the Kwong Sai Telegraphs has reported that the wire is and always has been in por feet repair and that the Canton official purposely delayed the messages for some reason best known to himself. Tho affair has been reported to the Viceroy who has boon naked to order the offending official to be tried for grow neglect of duty,
