Sir J. Gorell Barnes, the retiring Presi dent of the Probate, Divorce, and Admiralty Division, gave an interesting expression of opinion on the subject of diverse procedure in an address on Feb. 5 at Liverpool to law students. In Divorce Court procedura, his Lordship said, there is now in realiny one law for the rich and another for the poor. By "rich" he meant person who had nieans to go up to London a vory large proportion of the community and try these cases. He was satisfied that in Eagland could not do that, and that a remedy could only be provided by means which would bring the law to these poorer people. That was a vary big subject, which some day would meet with foll discassion. There should be one guiding principle that the sume opportunity should be given to those who were poor us to those who were better off.
