Interesting Inter-Debate.
There was a very large attendance at the T.M.C.4, on Tuesday arening when a very interesting inter-debate took place between the Union Church Literary Club and the Y.M.C.A. Debating Society, on the subject that the action of the self. governing colonies in excladin Asiatics) did not meet with their approval. Mr) Joughin opened for the Union Church Literary Club and was supported by Messrs Brown, Aucott, and Wells. Captain F. A. Bmw led the Y.M.C.A. speakers who comprised Mesars E. B. Cubey, Nairn and B. A. Lowery. The debate was listened to with the greatest interest and at the lose Mr G. G. Burnett, who occupied the abair, announced that in the voting the! decision was in favour of the Y.M.C.A.
