The following resolutions were adopted.
by the International Opium Commission at the last session on Friday -
1. That the International Opium Com-] mission recognises the unswerving sincerity of the Government, of China in their efforts bo oradicate the production and consump tion of Opium throughout the Empire the increasing dy of public opinion, among their own subjects by which these efforts are being supported; and the real, though unequal, progrcas already made in

In recording these Con- clusiona the International Opium Com maission recognises the wide variations between the condition prevailing in the different countries, but would urge on the attention of the Governments cozcorned the desirability of a re-examination of their system of regulation in the light of ex perience of other countries dealing with; the same problem.
4. That the International Opium Com ission finds that cach Government repre- sented a strict laws which are aimed directly or indirectly to prevent the emaggl ing of Opium, its alkaloids, derivatives and preparations into their respective territories: in the judgment of the Inter- national Opium Commision it is also the daty of all countries to adopt reasonable measures to prevent at ports of departure the shipment of Opium, ita alkaloids, derivatives and preparations, to any country which prohibits the entry of any Opium, its alkaloids, derivatives and preparations. 5. That the International Oplasa Com- mission finds that the unrestricted mona. facture, ele wnd distribution of Morphine already constitute a grave dangor, and that the Morphine habit shows signs of apreading the International Opium Com- mission, therefor, desire to urge strongly an all Governments that it is highly im
