Ho pointed out that the actual revenue for the year amounted to $15,048,51, wisch shows an increase over the revenue of 1007, hut still is in- -sufficient to cover the expenditura, which amounted to $18,483.30: thus excending revenue to the extent of nearly $1,500- which can only be called uusatisfactory. The Cathedral is still in urgent need of forthor annual contributions Continuing Mr.Hancock said-I made a special appeal on behalf of the Church Body inst year both personally and through the medium of the Press for more funds, and I am sorry to say that it did not meet with the responso which I had anticipated, though it helped mo to miss the total contributions from 82,640.50 in 1907 to 84,013.00 last year. Of
· course she Colony has been passing through very strenuous times lately, and people thaven't had the money to give as in former years but it should be remembered that contributions however small are scceptabla. You will observe from the statement of accounts before you that we have a balance af 31,500 to carry forward to this year, but this it must be remaribeed is only because no transferred at the beginning of SELECTED
