In Hongkong the Hoogkong Hotel is labouring under grent disadvantages just at present, owing to the collapse of a part of the building, This was the old hotel situated in Queen's Road. It is now being added on to the hotel built in De Viax Road The builders are awaiting the arrival of the material from England to go on with the wors, which, it is hopal, will be completed some time in 1900. The manage- ment of the hotel is under the supervision of Mr F. C. Davies late of the Bodford Hotel, Lunion. There is a rumour that the King Elward Hotel is about to be turned into a limited company, as the pre- sent owner, Mr Dorabjee, is retiring from business.
