To splendid weather on Saturday after- noom the first mesting under the suspipips of the Honkong Gymkhana Club was held | at Happy Valley, and although the atten dance was rather thin at the commencement of the racing it was considerably augmented before the second race coumenced, ang those present hoing Bammoss Hutten and Miss Brouer, attended by Mr A.J, Brick- : enbury (Privata Secretary to His Excelloney Sir Frederick Lugard). Selections were given during the afternoon by the band of the Middlex Regiment.
