History of the Hongkong Centro.
The following interesting history of the Hongkong Centre of the Oxford Local Examinations is supplied by Dr. Bateson Wright in this year's report:-
On the 13th of May, 1886, « Meeting was held in the Council Chamber, Dr. Stewart in the chair, and prosent Bishop Burdon, Hon. A. Lister, Dr. Chalmers, Dr. Eitel, Dr. Ho Kai, Mr. C. J. Batonan, Mr. G. H. B. Wright and others.
It was decided to establish Cura-. bridge Local Examinations in Hong- king. Mr Bateman was elected Local
