The Grat explosion occurred in the Dupont Glazing Mill, a mile south of Fontanet, and killed many of the am- ployees. Two other mills thon blew up at intervals of a few moments, but on the

The first explosion also caused the inhabitants of the town to Boo from their bones, and they thus saved thern- Melves from being buried in the debris of their dwellings. Nobody was killed in the town, though the buildings in the vicinity of the powder mills were all destroyed.
