Whiting carried out gradually. Thus, Germany
Widgeon now possesses in the great harbour of
Voodonck Tsing-tau a shipbuilding yard, which is Woodlark claimed to be adequate to meet all the requirements of shipping in the Far East, and which, in conjunction with the floating doek of 16,000 tons carrying capacity cannot fail to develop considerably the abipping trails of the pari.
The dock referred to was accupied in its first year for 91 days and by 24 vessels. Every kind of ship-repairing can now be carried out at Tsing-tan, and the German eruisers and warships generally stationed in the Far East and the South Sen, will henceforth be independent of the dreke at Shanghai. Hongkong, Sydney, Nagasaki, and elsewhere. The fucilities for loading and unlouling cryons at Tsing-tau are now superior any similar facilities in the harbours of the Far East.
