The prosecutor explained that his brother wished to join a corps of rough-riders, organised by Captain Suit, and winess gave the cheque as pasago money to Rivett- Carnac, who was acting as Captain Sull's adjutant. The prisoner, however, had not unly no right to receive nonoy, but did inol dieliver the chuque up.
