WILD WITH ECZEMA

And Other Itching, Burning, Scaly Eruptions with Loss of Hair.

Speedy Cure Treatment.

Bathe the affected parts with Hot Water and Cuticura Soap, to cleanse the surface of crusts and scales; and soften the thickened cuticlo. Dry, without hard rubbing, and apply Cuticura Olatment - freely, to allay itching, irritation, and Inflammation, and soothe and heal, and lastly take Cuticura Resolvent Pills, to cool and cloanse the blood. A single set is often sufficient to cure the most torturing, dis- figuring, itching, burning, scaly, pimply humours, eczemas, rasties, Irritations, and chafings, with loss of hair, when all else falls..

The agonizing itching and burning of the skin, as in eczema; the fright- ful scaling, as in psoriasis; the fees of hair and crusting of the scalp, as in scalled head; the facial disfigurement, as in pimples and ringworm; the awful suffering of infants and the anxiety of worn-out parents, as in milk crust, tetter, and salt rheum, all demand a remedy of almost superhuman virtues to successfully cope with them. Such are the CUTICURA remedies, the purest, sweetest, most speedy and economical curatives for the skin, scalp, and blood ever compounded. Mothers are their warmest friends.

Millions of Women Use Cuticura Soap

Assisted by CUTICURA OINTMENT for preserving, purifying, and beautify ing the skin, for cleansing the scalp of crusts, scales, and dandruff, and the stopping of falling hair, for softening, whitening, and soothing red, rough, and sore hands, for baby rashes and chafings, in the form of baths for annoying irritations and infammations of women, or too frea or offensive perspiration, in the form of washes for ulcerative weaknesses, and many, sanative, antiseptic purposes which readily suggest themselves, as well as for all the purposes of the toilet, bath, and nursery.

CUTICURA RESOLVENT PILLS (Chocolate Coated) are new tasteless,

odourless, economical substitute for the cele

brated Liquid CUTICURE RESOLVENT BFWell as for all other blood purtitors and humour cures. Put up in screw cap pocket vials, containing 00 doses,

"I could scarcely say that I wan terror- atricken, or anything like that. But some- how ble eyes interested me so that I want right out of the window. I didn't need the Bach, Bub it seemed easier to take it than leave it behind.

"Now, let that teach you a lesson-I don't know just what it is. But at 70 years old I find that memory of peculiar value to me. I have been unconsciously guided by

it all these years. Things that seem pigeon holed and remote are a perpetual influence. "Yes, you're taught in so many waya. And you're so felicitiously taught when you don't know it.

THE TEN BOOTS AND THE-GIRL. "Here's something else that taught me a good deal.

"When I was 17 I was very bashful, and a sixteen-year-old girl came to stay a week with us. She was a peach, and I was seized with a happiness not of this world.

"One evening my mother suggested that to entertain her, I tako her to the theatre. I didn't re lly like to, because I was 17 and censitive about appearing in the streets with- s girl. I couldn't see my way to enjoying my delight in public. But we went.

"I didn't feel very happy. I couldn't keen to keep my mind on the play. I became conscious after awhile that was dee less to my lovely company than my boole. They were sweet to look upon, as smooth A skin, but fitted ten times as close. I got. oblivious to the play and the girl and the other people and everything but my boots until I hitched one partly off. The consation 108 sensuously perfect. I ouldn't help it. I had to get the other off, partly, Then I was obliged to get them both off altogether, except that I kept my fect in the leg so they couldn't get away.

From that time I enjoyed the play, But the first thing I know the curtain came down like that, without any notice, and I. hadn't ny boots on. What's more, they wouldn't go on. I tugged strenuously. And the people in our row got up and fussed and said things until the peach and I simply had to move on.

"We moved-the girl on one arm and the boots under the other.

"We walked home that way, sixteen blocks, with a retinue a mile long. Every time wo passed a lamp-post death gripped me at the throat, But we got home-and

I had on white socks.

** If I lived to be 999 years old I don't euppose I could ever forget that walk."

And after telling other equally humorous' and interesting stories Mark wound up :- "I trust," said he, assuming a sanotimon- ious tone, that you will carry away some good thought from these lessons I have given you. And that the memory of them will inspire you to higher things and elevate you to planes for above the old and--"

The rest was lost in the laugh and the storm of applause that broke out anew.

"And Tell you one thing, young ladies," said he at a moment of calm. I've had a better time with you to-day than with that peach 53 years ago."

But Mark wasn't through. He hadn't counted on the social gamut he had to run. For whole hour (says the Now York "World" the amiable gentleman stood in the alcove of Fiske-hall and shock hands with sweet young things who "simply loved Huck Finn." and "went crazy over Padd'nhead Wilson" and "just would give anything a sweet white curl of his."
