Earl Simon de Montfort, champion of popular liberty, and pioneer of parlia ments, will figure prominently as befits his position in English history; the trial of Piers Galveston, the favourite of Edward II., will furnish a grimly, dramatic episode, and the "Kingasker's" quarrel with Edit ward IV, and his capture of the lattor will be dosoribed in Shakespeare's language.
