Mosers Lamko and Roggo report. under date of Saturday, January 27.
The issue of this fortnight's circular is two days earlier owing to the Chinese New
Year holidays intervening.
The interval under review has brought no improvement in freights. For prompt or early loading there is pratically no demand, handy sized steamers, continue to be laid up for want of anything paying offering. For forward, in some few ins tances inquiries have led to business, in others the low rates quoted failed to attract attention, and, alto other, demand for dates has been insignificant. Freights homeward from the rice ports are better, notably from Bangkok, and more steamers are now named, Norwegian and Gorman, for which owners have either accepted home- ward Lusiness or are in tresty for such.

Mother told father not to sit so near the fire-it made it worse, Father told mother to go and emother herself.
Mother
said she was smothered already. Just then our servant came in, and asked if sha could open the windows as the room smelt very close. Father went upstairs and changed his clothes and had a hot bath. Mother took father's clothes and offered them to a tramp, who said "Thanks, kind lady, they are a bit too high for me." Mother threw them over the back fence into the canal. Father was summoned afterwards for poisoning the fish. Mother went to bed. Father asked her if she had been fumigated. Just then someone sent father a note. Father came to wish me good night at ten o'clock in the evening, with a note in one hand and a razor strop in the other. I got under the bed. He is certainly making a noble use of his acquisitions.
