FROM LONDON,
Emerson used to say that when his friends THE Company's Steamship Glenturret, grow clamorous in their recommendations T having arrived from the above ports, of a new book he always took down and old Consignees of Cargo by her are hereby in- one. No doubt if he had been alive now he formed that their Goods are being landed at would have anticipated with pleasure the their risk into the Godowns of the Hong- scholarly reprint of Holinshod's Chronicles kong and Kowloon Wharf and Godown Co., of England, and Ireland, which Mr Charles Lamited, at Kowloon, where each consign- Whibley has edited for Messrs Jack, ment will be sorted out mark by mark, Holinshed, even Mr Sidney Lee admite and delivery can be obtained as soon as the though he was mad publisher's face Goods are adds will be carried on unless made Shakespeare his debtor. He fed, if Optional Goods he did not fire, the imagination of the instruction are given to the contrary be dramatist Whom Coleridge called the my ford &Pa To-DAY, riad-minded man and what the historical Goods not cleared by the 14th Inst., plays owe to him it is not easy to compute. will be subject to rent. Shakespeare was not the only Elizabethan dramatist who draw material from this old chroniclor, who, though an obscure drudge, had had a university training at Cambridge.
We understand that Sir Walter Lawranco is to write the official count of the pro gress of the Prince Kit Prince of Wales
No Fire Insurance will be effected. All Damaged Packages must be left in the Godowns, and a cortificate of the Damage obtained from the Godown Co. within ten days after the Steamer's arrival, after, which no Claims will be recognised. MCGREGOR BROS. & GOW. Hongkong, December 8, 1905.
