FOR BABY'S SKIN
SCALP AND HAIR
Something for Mothers to Think About EVERY CHILD born into the world with an inherited or early developed tendency to distressing, disfiguring humours of the skin, scalp, and blood, becomes an object of the most tender solicitude, not only because of its suf- fering but because of the dreadful fear that the disfigura- tion is to be lifelong and mar its future happiness and prosperity. Hence it becomes the duty of mothers of such afflicted children to acquaint themselves with the best, the purest, and most effective treatment available, viz., THE CUTICURA TREATMENT.
Warm baths with CUTICURA SOAP, to cleanse the skin of crusts and scales and soften the thickened cuticle, gentle anointlugs with CUTICURA ÓINT- MENT, to instantly allay itching, irritation, and Inflammation, and soothe and heal, to be followed in the severer cases by mild doses of CUTICURA RESOL VENT PILLS (see below), to cool and cleanse the blood, are all that can be desired for the alleviation of the suffering of skin-tortured infants and children and the comfort of worn-out, worried mothers. A single set is often sufficient to cure when the best physicians fail.
Millions of Women Use Cuticura Soap
Assisted by CUTICURA OINTMENT, for preserving, purifying, and beautifying the skin, for cleansing the scalp of crusts, scales, and dandruff, and the stopplag of falling hair, for eoftening, whitening, and soothing red, rough, and sore hands, for liaby rashes, itchings, and chalugs, in the form of baths for annoying irritations and inflammations, or too free or offensive perspiration, in the form of washes for ulcerative weaknesses, and for many sanative, antiseptic purposes which readily suggest themselves to women, especially mothers, and for all the purposes of the tollet, bath, and nursery.
COTICURA RESOLVENT PILLS (Chocolate Coated) are prepared to meet the wants of delicate women, and sensitive children, and are puro, sweet, and tasteless. They aro beyond question the most successful blood purifiers and humour cures yet compounded.
CUTICURA REMedies are sold throughout the world. Australian Depot: R. Towns & Co., Bydney. Brlikh Depoll 27-29, Charterhouse Hq., Landon. French Depot: & Rue de la Paix, Para POTTER DECO AND CHIL Cour, Bola Props, Boston, U. 6. A. "All about the Skin," free.

AN EMPRESS'S LETTER.
Nelson Correspondence.
Some autograph letters of unusual impor- tance wore included in the throo days' usle which place at Mesere Sotheby's recently. There was scarcely an item in the catalogue but had a special interest by reason of its historical or literary association, and many -of-the holographs were of considerable rarity. The chief feature of the first day's sulo was a letter from the lato Gorman Empress to her brother, the Prince of Wales, our present King. In this letter, writton only a few weeks after the writer'e marriage, the Crown Princess alluded affectionately to her father, the Prince Consort, and says:—
How I envy you being able to talk with doar papa about everything that goes on. Oh, lot me implore you, dear, as your best friend, profit by what he says. You don't know when one is away as I am, how one longs for one word from him,' ' |
Another interesting letter was from Char- los Darwin, in which the great naturalist said: 'I know that I am hated and abused“ · by many; but I do not care much about

IMPURITIES IN THE BLOOD. Wo have seen hosts of letters from all sorts and conditions of The Full people, in which the writers acknowledge the benefit they have received from Clarke's Blood Mixture, which as a curative agent cannot be too Coples bighly estimated, since it cleanses and clears the blood from all impurities, and restores it to its normal condition. This is a good testimonial from the Family Doctor, the popular medical weekly, which goes on further to say: It is certainly the Guest blood purifler that aciesco and skill have brought to light, and wo .ean with the utmost confidence recommend it to
