The Chicago Strike.

CHICAGO, May 24 At last troops are called out to cope with the really horrible situation brought about in this city by the strike of teamsters. Scores of men have been killed and maimed by the strikers and hundreds injured in the encounters with Police and non-unionists. The governor of Illinois has ordered the national guard of the State to take the field. The centres of trouble will be guarded by militiamen and all violence put down speedily. The police are utterly unable to cope with the mobs.- Cableners.

THE LIVER IS A GOOD FRIEND, BUT A BAD ENEMY.

THE Liver is a large and powerful organ-

knowledge considerable increase of paper manufacture is necessarily expected. There will, therefore, be no difficulty in disposing of the entire output of the mill at remu- nerative rates. Already tentative enquiries have been made by influential dealers to dispose of the Company's entire output.
