A match like that played on Saturday was ed Mr Badeley and Mr Hallifax for their N

regrettable. The Captains on both sides were perhaps the worst offenders.

A rather amusing incident-to the specta- tors-happened just before the commence- ment of the Toam race. Two of the officials, Measra E. M. Hazeland and A. Humphreys wore standing on the staging at the end of the bath when, it collapsed, precipitating them into the water. A hearty roar of laughter rose as the two Committee-men came to the surface, and the mirth increas od as they endeavoured to struggle into a boat lying handy.

That this year's aquatic sports were the best ever held in the Club is the general opinion; notwithstanding the Water Polo final.

The Honorary Secretary, Mr H. C. Auston, worked hard to ensure success, and in this he was worthily upheld by his able Committee, who devoted considerable time and energy to the directing of affairs. The Steward of the Club, Mr C. Lesbirel, was also to the fore, and although the atton- dances eclipsed anything in the past, the accommodation was ample.

The results of Saturday's racing were as followings –
