Sir Henry Irving is back amongst us, and has started on a provincia] | tour. Now the Cedric is 702 feet long, and new Cunarders are being built with a length of 760, and a beam of 78. The maximum depth is still 32 feet, and it will be far more difficult to get this increased than length or breadth, because of the shallowness in many approach channels and over most dock sills. Still, the 1000-foot steamer is approaching, and the time when the Suez Canal must be dredged to 40 feet is at hand.

For Sprains THE right time to treat a sprain is the minute you get it, and the right is CHAMBERLAIN'S remedy to PAIN BALM. You can say what you will about this or that thing being good for a sprain, but Chamberlain's Pain Balm beats them all. The quicker you rub it on, and the more you use it, the sooner the sprain will be gone. Even if Chamberlain's Pain Balm gets you back to work one day quicker han other remedies, it will
pay for itself several times, but it generally cures a sprain, strain, or a bruise a week before anything else, and a week's wages amount to a good deal to most people. One appli
