LUELA E CRES 7. ULTMANN AND CO.
This was application by Luela Frères for an interita injunction against Ullmann and Co. to restrain them from using trade warka purchased by the plaintiffs last year from Bovet and Co., pending the hearing of an application for injunction.
Mr M. V. Slade, instructed by Messrs Deacon and Hastings, appeared for the plaintiffs, and Mr C. D. Wilkinson (of Messrs Wilkinson and Grist) for the defen- dants.
The evidence disclosed by the affidavits eled by the plaintiffs was that the marks in question. the principal one of which was the mari: calledYeo No, had been used by the firm of Bovet and Co. for very great number of years upon watches sold by them, and that during the last few years the sale of these watches had considerably decreased in consoquence they now alleged of the sale of inferior watches sold by the defendants and others at cheaper prices. The ovidence on behalf of the defendants was that they had used the

all the farmers in the district and tenants had forward their traps, gaily bodecked with flags denoting the happy event.
On being placed into his carriage Colonel Murray, in a few sentences, thanked the people for his reception, and expressed his Murray, who accompanied the Colonel, pleasure in being amongst them again. Mrs drove home with him."
HOME.
On reaching the entrance to the estate several young stalwarts stood ready with ropes to pull the carriage. The horses were taken out of the carriage, and willing hands dragged it up the avenue to the house. Here the most elaborate decorn- tions were exhibited. Halfway up the avenue was an arch over which was hung the motto East, West, Hamo's Best." Further up the avenue, at the entrance to the lawn, was erected another beautiful arch. On the side facing the avenuo wero the words Better lo'l ye canna be,' while on the side facing the mansion was the motto l'ence with honour. The front of the building presented a very pleasing sight. In the centre of the building over the porch Welcome home was hung in blazing colours, and in very large letters, while directly above was suspended the family's coat of arms. High up on the face of the building was the most appropriate motto in Gaelic, A thousand welcomes to our soldier hero.'
ly.
Colonel Murray, on the carriage being drawn up at the main entrance, addressed the gathering. Words, he said, would not rise freely to his lips when he sought to convey to them what were his feelings on reaching home, and being greeted with such honour and kindness. He said he could not find words to express himself adequate. The welcome he had received that day was a thing to live for. AN ADDRESS OF WELCOME.
A pleasant little function then took place in front of the mansion house, when Colonel Murray was presented with an address of welcome and congratulation on his safe return home from South Africa,
Mr Douglas, Meikle Rhynie, presided over a gathering of over 200 people. The loyal and patriotic toasts were pledged with much enthusiasm.

MEDICAL TESTIMONIALS:--
Dr B. O'BRIEN, M.D., Civil Surgeon, Faizabad, says :-Mr N. Lazarus, optician, examined my vision to-day, and I have much pleasure in testifying to the accuracy with which he determined the proper glasses for me to wear. His method of examination is a very ingenious and ac- curate one, and by it he should be able to 748 ascertain the proper glasses for the cor- rection of all the errors of refraction met with in the eye.
Surgeon-Major G. C. HALL, in charge of the Eye Hospital, Allahabad, says:-I have tested your Patent Refraction Test,
TSANG FOO & CO. and find it remarkably good and accurate,
