At the Magistracy, this afternous, the Chinese moray-changer who alleges that he www robbed of about 9900 on board the Emp es of India in Yokohanm last month by four of the sailors employed on the ship, gavolds evidence before Mr Gompertz. Ho identified a number of the nuts and the bag which contained the money, and gave details of the different moneys which he alleged were taken from him. He also related how the money was taken off bis
shoulder by someone from behind, and pointed out two of the prisoners as the men who kept hus from pursuing. The hearing was farther adjourned.
