The White Flag Abuse. March 12-Lord Roberts and sever! members of his Staff witnessed on Saturday a gross abuse of the white flag and the treachery of the enemy. A forps force of Bours was in itaninent peril of being annihilated, when they hoisted the white dag. The British advanced to receive their surrender, whereupon another section fired repeated volleys into our men.
Lord Roberts has sent a strong protest to President Kruger and President Steyn against such dastardly conduct, threatening to disregard the white fag in future. Il has also requested the British Government to enimmunicate bis protest to the neutral Pover.
