The Tide table gitém below has been compiled by the Nautical Almanac Office in London from the results of the analysie of į observations taken by means of an automa. tie tide recording machine in the Water Police Basin at Teira Sha Teu during the years 1867-8-9.
The zero of the table is Low Water Or dinary Spring Tides, which has been found to be feet below mean sea level ----
To obtain the depth of water on the tide gauge at the Victoris Naval Yard add to it in, and on the gauge at Lamont Dock, Aberdeen, add 12 ft. 9 in. to the height given in the table.
