It fa- oludes many intersting Notes and original Papers on the Arte, Sciences, Ethnology, Folklore, Goography, Bistory, Literature, Mythology, Natural History, Antiquities, and Social Manners and Customse, ato., etc., of China, Japan, Mongolia, Tibot, and the Far East generally. Recently a new de- parture has been taken, and the Review now gives papers Trade, Commerit, and Descriptive notes of Travel. by well-known writers. It was thought that by extending the scope of the Review in his direction, the Magazine would be made more generally useful,
