Last night a very audacious theft was com mitted at the Upper Terminae of the Peak Tramway Co. Mr W. K. Wylie, Superin tendent to the Tramvay Co, had taken up a sum of $1000 last sight to pay the em ployds this morning. He placed $975 in the safe in the mess room, and when he wont to get the money this morning-found the safe open and the money ona. Mr Wonda' boy was als gone, and suspicion reate upon him. The safe in which the. money was deposited is what is known as a *combination safe, and it looks strange how the boy cold, have known, the com bination' necessary to get the rafs open. The boy did not answer Mr. Wooda when cafted about 10.30 last night, moît-in | supposed that if he is the thief the theft must have been committed last night. No clue has as yet been obtained.
