But from what do oysters arise? What is the origin of matter? Ah! nobody knows. Yet one thing is getting plainer every Let this man's story show. Ha goes on to my. 17th of December, 1872, whilst acting as ship's carpenter on board the steamship Sor- rente, I was wrecked on the Goodwin Sands. The shock to my system was so great as to produce an effect I never falt before. I fell into a low, weak stats, and was seized with gildiness and a sinking, fainting feeling. I had a bad taste in the mouth, weight at the chest, and great pain after eating, and my face would burn like fire. I had dificulty in breathing and palpitation, and often a pain eremed to run from the heat through to my shoulder. I had a kind of rumbling all over me, and a choking sensation at the throat, with a rush of blood to the head.
"I slept vary badly, and after a time I get so nervous and weak I was afraid to go about, and would sit in a chair quite powerless. I saw doctor who treated me for a time, and then sent me to a hospital in Battlebone Place, Lon- don, where I was under treatment for three months, but got no better. I then put myself under a local doctor, who Gold I was suffering from verrous debi lity. He patched me up for a little while, but said to my wife, Your bas- bard is in a critical condition, and may die at any time.
"However, I got to work for a short time, and then was as bad as ever. I lingered on in this way for years--now a little better, now worse, but never wall.
About 1880, whilst working at Messrs Westwood and Bailey's, Millwall, amate who saw my sufferings told me of a medicine called Mother Seigel'a Curative Syrup, and he brought me a bottle. After taking the first bottle I found my food agreed with me, and I began to improve. All nervous feeling gradually left me, and by persevering with the medisine I was scan cured. Froin that time to this I have been a strong man, and dose barder work than ever in my life before. I bave since kept Hothor Beigel's Syrup in the house, and my wite, who was a great fferer from theumatism and dropsy, has found more relief from it then from sbything else. If any of my family ever ail anything, a few dose soon set them right."

Now, what is the thing which we said is gosting plainer every day? Why this: that almost an infinite number of different results arise from a single Like the majority of people in all reaks of life, Mr Hill bad in bis digestive organs the seed or what women, when they buy dress goods, call the makings of dyspepsia Up to the winter of 1872 it may not. bave troubled him much, but the excitement and exposure of the shipwreck was more than the system could bear. We must remember, too, that all shocks to the mind or body, or to both, act directly on the stomach. Who can eat when onder the influence of a great worry or a great sorrow? And if this worry or sorrow continues lung, it always upsets the digestion, permanently impairs or destroys the appetite, and thus brings on an apparently incurable dyspapaia and nervous debility. Why, gracious goodness there are millions of women, and lots of men, crawling about under this thing in England every day in the year. And it is to them wa are talking. They are half dead, and we want them to come to life, and get some good ont of their existence. Whatever the ail- ment is called, you may be sure in- digestion and dyspepsia is at the bottom of it, de in Mr Hill's case, and what cared him will care you.
